Royal Free Heampstead NHS hospital, London, UK
The Royal Free Heampstead NHS hospital is a large urban hospital located in the northern part of the city centre. Dr Addie Grobbelaar is head of the Plastic Surgery department here. He has developed a special interest in Facial reanimation, building on from his pioneering predecessor Dr Douglas Harrison.
A total of 10 plastic surgeons work in this busy London city unit. They also spread their activities out over four private hospitals in and around London. The fellow is invited to participate in all these activities and so will be exposed to a wide range of facial plastic surgery. However, in order to scrub in one must acquire the General Medical Council registration. See our links page for further information on this.
